Special School Performance Offer

Thursday, November 18, 2010 @ 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

With music by Grammy-winning composer Michael Silversher, Emmy-winning author/illustrator Mo Willems adapts his book Knuffle Bunny into a musical about family, best friends, baby steps and memories that last a lifetime.

Everyone knows that there’s a first time for everything. This witty and heart-warming story celebrates the excitement, apprehension and adventure of ‘firsts,’ from a little girl’s first words to a first trip to a Laundromat. Take a spin with us as we experience adventure, song, heart, a bit of heartache and, of course, dancing laundry!

Recommended for ages 4 and up and grades pre-K and up.

Curriculum connections include literature, interpersonal relationships, problem solving and non-verbal communication.

Kennedy Center touring productions feature a comprehensive package of educational programs and materials designed to enhance the education values of these high-quality productions for young people, teachers, and families.
